Nadia Boulanger is among the foremost master teachers of music. Influencing many of the world's illustrious composers and performers of the 20th Century, she demanded of all her students a profound mastery of the fundamental crafts of music. The EAMA Summer Chamber Music Program in Paris recreates this unique musicianship training, offering students the rare opportunity to work intensively on these fundamental crafts.
Dr. April Clayton, EAMA faculty member since 2006, directs the Chamber Music Program.
Pianists Emile Naoumoff and Roy Howat will also be giving masterclasses and coachings during the 2010 Summer Music Programs.
The program is open to pianists, instrumentalists, and vocalists who wish to delve deeply into the crafts of music in order to better perfect their performance skills while concurrently participating in chamber music coachings and concerts.
In addition, pianists will have the unique opportunity to participate in intensive seminars in sonority given by Dr. Philip Lasser.
Personalized analysis seminars, prepared on the works currently in progress, are also offered by the core faculty throughout the program.
